Although I have been working as a Springboard advisor for 9 years I didn’t have any formal qualifications. 

I joined the Learning Pembrokeshire GCSE English course mainly to support my daughter who wanted to improve her English grade. It was scary for me to think about returning to formal learning after all this time.  Some evenings it was tough for both of us rushing home from work to get to class.  

Lucy the tutor was fantastic, she made us all feel at ease and was very patient especially when I repeatedly asked questions!  She motivated us to keep going and I’m glad I persevered and I am pleased to say that my daughter and I both achieved our goals.   

After this positive experience and achieving a B grade I have decided to continue with my learning and am currently working towards an NVQ Level 4 in Advice and Guidance which will help me support Springboard learners further.
